Jesus Christ Was An ‘Alien’ According To UFO Expert

It’s not that difficult imaging Jesus Christ as an alien. Look at his awesome superpowers. Replicating a few loaves of bread to feed hundreds. Walking on water. Healing lepers. Raising himself from the dead.

No ordinary mortal can do that. And if he isn’t the Son of God, he must be an extraterrestrial alien from an advanced civilization. Right?

Noted Ufologist Dr. Barry Downing Ph.D., who is also a Presbyterian minister, is one among many people who believe aliens have come to Earth and influenced our history and religions for millennia. But unlike most of us, Dr. Downing wrote the book “The Bible and Flying Saucers” in 1968, arguing that Christ was indeed not of this world.

He said Jesus was an extraterrestrial sent to Earth to rid the world of sins and wickedness.

To support this contention, Dr. Browning cited biblical lines saying Jesus was from another world (John 8: 23). This particular passage reads (from the New American Standard Bible): “And He was saying to them, ‘You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.’”

Dr. Downing also believed Jesus left Earth in a spacecraft to return to his homeworld or to another spatial dimension.

He said the angels from the Bible are actually aliens. These angelic beings spoke to Moses and to Elijah and guided the ancient Israelites, providing them with manna in the wilderness. Dr. Downing also claimed a flying vehicle operated by intelligent alien beings was responsible for the parting of the Red Sea.

He also identified episodes in the Bible that are similar to modern UFO encounters. Among these is the world’s purportedly oldest UFO sighting in the Book of Ezekiel, which refers to a “wheel within a wheel” that could move in four directions without turning. Moreover, the rims of the wheels were “full of eyes.”

Dr. Downing alluded to evidence of extraterrestrial activity in the Gospel of St. Matthew in the New Testament, which reports an angel descending to Earth to tell the wise men about the coming birth of Jesus.

He also suggested the star leading the wise men to the stable where Jesus was born was, in fact, a UFO that telepathically guided the Magi to Bethlehem.

He also said Mary’s Immaculate Conception and her virgin birth were the result of alien technology. Dr. Downing said Jesus’ embryo was implanted into Mary by aliens. This makes Jesus an alien-human hybrid.

Jesus’ miracles are also proof of his extraterrestrial origins, argued Dr. Downing. Jesus had the power to change nature, walk on water and raise the dead, according to the Bible. Dr. Downing and other Biblical Ufologists, however, believe it’s more logical to attribute Jesus’ miracles to advanced alien powers than to a divine one.

This same alien power is also what Jesus used to resurrect himself after being crucified on the cross, said Dr. Downing. Jesus’ ascension from the Earth is simply his return to his home planet.
