CES 2016 may have just ended this Saturday, but that doesn't mean the previews are over with.

Earlier in the week, Medical Daily took a peek at the latest health and fitness innovations that might soon populate our homes — both for people and pets.

At first glance, though, it'd be easy to assume the health tech world is only catered to the already well, what with the constant stream of advertisements featuring activity trackers worn by fit models. But a growing number of start-ups and established companies alike are attempting to break free from that mold, by creating products specifically aimed at better managing chronic conditions or other impairments.
