Carla Bruni-Sarkozy gives birth to daughter in Paris: report

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the First Lady of France, gave birth to a daughter Wednesday in Paris, according to the French newspaper Le Figaro.

Bruni-Sarkozy delivered her baby around 8 p.m. today at the Clinique de la Muette, the paper reported.

The baby is the first daughter of Carla and France's President Nicolas Sarkozy. Separately, she has one son from another relationship and the President three sons from two previous marriages.

Bruni-Sarkozy first confirmed her pregnancy in July.
