People will go to all lengths to achieve their ultimate beauty goal, and many times this includes plastic surgery. For some, however, this plastic surgery can go terribly long. Vice recently released a video, aptly named "Buttloads of Pain: Ass Injections Gone Wrong," to highlight just what can happen when buttock injection surgeries cause serious bodily harm, and even death.

According to the report, the public’s infatuation with a large buttock has created a black market for butt augmentation. Silicon and mineral oil injections take nearly no time to recover from and are far cheaper than surgery offered by board certified plastic surgeons. Today, silicon injections are usually offered by non-certified doctors to patients desperate to change their body by any means possible. According to Dr. Constantino Mendieta, a Miami-based plastic surgeon who specializes in the butt, often it may take many years for the chemicals to react, but when they do they begin to destroy the butt.

One woman who received illegal silicon injections in her but explained how the “doctor” then sealed the injection site on her body with crazy glue. Shortly after, she experienced a severe reaction, causing her skin to change color and begin to peel.
