Sesame Street And Michelle Obama Bring 'Eat Brighter' Campaign To 'Funny Or Die'
Sesame Street and Michelle Obama have partnered together for the “Eat Brighter” campaign, which aims to recruit the produce industry to help make eating fruits and vegetables fun for kids. And after an appearance in an episode of Funny or Die’s “Billy on the Street,” adults may be persuaded, too.
If you’ve never seen an episode of “Billy on the Street,” here’s what you’re missing: host and comedian Billy Eichner hitting the streets of New York to question pedestrians on pop culture, and the hilarity that ensues. He sometimes has special guests help him ask questions, from fellow comedians, to recording artists and actors. This time he had Big Bird.
But before the two hit the streets, Eichner played a couple ridiculous games in a DC-area supermarket with Big Bird, FLOTUS, and veteran contestant Elena (who initially thought an actress was impersonating Obama) herself. The two answered questions like, “Which is better: Ariana Grande or a carrot?” and, “Who’s more deserving of a Kennedy Center honor: Martin Short, or a box of frozen corn?”
The questions weren’t entirely focused on the campaign or, to quote Billy, “bribing kids to eat fruit.” Eichner also asked his contestants questions about actors starring on CSI, One Direction, and who is the better-looking president: Abraham Lincoln or President Barack Obama? Spoiler alert: She picks Honest ABE.
Just kidding. She votes for Obama. See what we did there? Watch the whole thing unfold in the video below:
