Sex Sent Me To The ER: Woman Gets Handcuff Keys Stuck Inside IUD Device In Vagina During 'Sex Play'
Couples use kinky role play to heat things up between the sheets, acting out dominant/submissive sex fantasies, from gardener and desperate house wife to princess and fire-breathing dragon. Jason and Michelle, a Canadian couple, were acting out the story of a beautiful princess being kidnapped by a sex-starved dragon. So, they used handcuffs, placing the keys inside Michelle’s vagina. This risqué sex play in the boudoir landed the adventurous couple in the ER, leaving doctors with more questions than answers, before Jason and Michelle came clean about their sexcapade.
"That snapped me," Michelle said in an episode of TLC’s Sex Sent Me To The E.R., The Huffington Post reported. The keys got lodged in her uterus and then tangled up in her intrauterine device (IUD). The unnamed doctor who examined Michelle did a probe and discovered the handcuff keys were next to her cervix and tangled in the nylon removal strings of her IUD. An IUD is inserted into the uterus to prevent pregnancy. The ER doctor was worried untangling the key from the IUD strings might remove the device.
The odds of the handcuff keys getting entangled in the IUD strings is a rare occurrence, says ER physician Dr. Michelle Pearl, who was not the doctor for the couple, but gave her input on the show. "The fact that this key got entangled in these strings is so random, so unbelievable,” Pearl said. “I can’t believe it actually happened.”
The ER physician does not recommend anyone do anything like that, even if your judgment is impaired in the heat of the moment. Michelle’s risk of danger was contingent on where the key was located, which could have led to surgical repair if there was any tearing. “We're talking about a jagged metal object in a very sensitive place," Pearl said.
