Subway Employee Ian Jett Lays Penis On Sandwich Bread, Gets Fired After Posting Photos To Instagram
Two Subway employees have been fired following leaked photos of one "sandwich artist" placing his penis on top of the restaurant's oven-baked bread and a second picture of what appears to be frozen urine.
"This isolated incident is not representative of Subway Sandwich Artists. These actions are not tolerated and the franchisee took immediate action to terminate the two employees involved," read a statement issued by the sandwich shop chain.
Ian Jett admitted to Huffington Post on Monday to taking pictures of his penis on top of a piece of bread from the Subway restaurant he works at in Columbus, Ohio. The picture posted to Instagram was accompanied by the caption, "My name is @ianjett and I will be your sandwich artist today."
But while Jett admitted that he took the unsettling photo, he said that it "was totally a joke" and that the picture was taken at his home.
A second photo, allegedly taken by fellow employee Cameron Boggs, featured a bottle filled with a yellowish substance that he had frozen overnight. The caption underneath the photo read, "Today at work I froze my pee."
Last month, Subway refused to acknowledge a video that surfaced of a rat eating off the counter of one of its restaurant chains. Maybe it's about time we start making our own sandwiches again.
