Finding the time to workout is one of the biggest barriers standing in the way of the most people and their fitness goals. After a long commute home and an even longer day at work, the last thing on someone’s mind is going back out to the gym. While no one’s telling you to abandon your daily trip to Planet Fitness or Crunch, there are other options for people who may not have the means to afford an expensive gym membership or the time to go there.

“You don't need to go to a gym to workout. Lifting weights are essential for bone strength,” Donovan Green, celebrity fitness trainer and founder of Chair Workouts, told Medical Daily. "I am a big fan of pumping iron, but I also love doing calisthenics. If you cannot push, lift, or pull your own body, then you should not touch weights until you can.”
